EPHESIANS 3:16-19

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
PRAYER DIRECTION
In EPHESIANS 2, Paul explained how Jews and Gentiles had become one in Christ Jesus. These groups, once enemies, were reconciled through the cross. It was only by the power of the Holy Spirit that they could walk in their new identity as one. This truth is still relevant to the body of Christ today—though we have diverse backgrounds and experiences, we are united in Christ! To maintain this unity, we must be empowered by the Holy Spirit and be firmly rooted in love for Christ and for one another. When we are “filled to the measure of all the fullness of God,” we are transformed and reflect the nature of Christ, who is the fullness of God (Colossians 2:9). As we reflect His nature, we see as He sees, we love as He loves, and the unity of the body becomes a powerful testimony to the world.
PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your love; a love that far surpasses my understanding. I thank You that because of the cross, I am now a part of the body united in Christ. I know that it is by faith and the power of the Holy Spirit that I can live out this unity daily. Help me to be firmly rooted and to establish a firm foundation of love for You and those around me. I pray that I will seek to know Your incredible love every day, so that I may be filled to the measure of Your fullness and reflect the nature of Christ.
