Jonah 2:7-8; Job 38:2-4
Jonah was still praying, worshipping God with his dying breath, and in verse 8 we have the lesson learned: whatever lie you’re believing, whatever you’re pursuing, whatever you’re pushing back against God about, do you really think you know better than GOD in your situation? What’s it gonna take to realign your will (your freedom to choose) with God’s will (his sovereign will)? Job faced this same predicament: “Who is it that darkens My counsel, who speaks empty words without knowledge? Raise yourself up like a man. Answer me now…IF you can.”
